4. Tank cleaning Process

Stage I–Cleaning of Surroundings

In the first stage of tank clean, we start with thoroughly cleaning the manhole and surroundings which is usually full of dirt, mud and algae.

Stage II– Dewatering

In the second stage of tank, we start automatic machine which can dewatering the tank and empty the water tank.

Stage III-Sludge Removal

1. The dirty water and sludge is removed using a special sludge pump.

2. This type of sludge removal is also done by manually.

Stage IV-Scrubbing

In this stage we start scrubbing the water tank with machine as well as manually to remove the dirt and fungus and hard stains from the concrete.

Stage V-High Pressure water Jet Cleaning

1. The process further continues with cleaning of the walls and ceiling of the tanks with our special high pressure jet.

2. The ceiling incidentally has a very high concentration of germs and bacteria due to the availability of oxygen and dampness arising out of condensation of the water vapor.

Stage VI-Vacuum Cleaning

1. After the sludge is removed the remaining dirt is vacuumed out using an Industrial Vacuum Cleaner making the floor of the tank totally dirt free.

2. The sludge is then taken out of the tank and disposed off to a safe place.

Stage VII–Anti-Bacterial Spray

1. The next important process in Tank cleaning is the treatment at the inside walls and the ceiling by our specially developed anti-bacterial agents.

2. The anti-bacterial agents are thoroughly sprayed in all the nooks and corners of the tank which ensures total sterilization of the tank from the inside.

Stage VIII–UV treatment

And finally in the Sixth Stage of the process final sterilization and disinfection is done using UV Radiation by a specially developed UV Radiator which is used to kill any suspended or floating bacteria remaining in the tank.

This full procedure makes the tank 100% Bacteria free and makes it perfectly fit for storing clean drinking water. The above process is common for both the Underground and Overhead drinking water storage tanks and can be used for all types of tanks like Concrete Tanks, Fabricated Steel tanks, Plastic (HDPE) Tanks etc.
